He won his first Group race when he assisted Hot Streak in taking the Group 2 Temple Stakes at Haydock in May 2014.

He was named the British Flat Racing Champion Apprentice later that year. Karpino won the German 2,000 Guineas in May 2015, his second Group 2 victory of the year, and Litigant won the Ebor Handicap in August, the horse’s most significant victory.
