Singh participated in the Ramadan T20 Competition in Abu Dhabi on May 30, 2019, without first requesting permission to play. As a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended him for three months.

In Kings XI Punjab, Rinku has begun competing in the 2017 Indian Premier League. Kolkata Knight Riders purchased him for the 2018 IPL.
