Manan has competed for Punjab’s U-16, U-19, and U-22 squads. He was named skipper of the Punjab U19 team.

In the 2014 IPL Final, he scored 67 runs, and his combination of 129 runs with Wriddhiman Saha ensured that Kings XI Punjab scored 199 runs in 20 overs.

He scored a stunning 95 runs off just 50 deliveries (including nine fours and five sixes) against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 17, 2017, in Hyderabad. His strike, however, was in vain as his side fell short by five runs.

In the January 2018 IPL selection, the Royal Challengers Bangalore selected him. The Rajasthan Royals acquired him in December 2018 during the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

The Lucknow Super Giants bought him during the February 2022 auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League season.
